With the the release of Mojave, Apple has removed support for Intel HD Graphics 3000 Officially for all the Mac line up products from late 2010 and 2011. From Mojave, Apple does not supports any non-metal Graphics Card which requires at least Intel HD Graphics 4000, which is a metal capable Graphics. I installed Bootcamp on my 2012 Mac Mini and now I'm wondering if I should update the graphics driver for the Intel HD 4000 integrated GPU. Bootcamp obviously installs the appropriate driver, but Windows Update shows an 'optional' update for thee Intel HD 4000 GPU. And the Intel site seems to have an update, as well. Reboot your machine even if the setup does not prompt you to do so.

To verify your driver installation was successful:

Open Device Manager. For Windows 10, right-click the Windows Start icon or open Start menu and search for Device Manager. Go to Display Adapters section.

Double-click the installed Display Adapter in Device Manager.

Verify the Driver Version and Driver Date fields are correct.

You may sometimes see the following error messages while installing this driver.

Error: The driver being installed is not validated for this computer. Obtain the appropriate driver from the computer's manufacturer. Setup will exit.
